Network Calathea

SKU: netework

Calathea Musaica (Calathea Network) is one of the most interesting, among the 300 different types of Calathea plants, with unique mosaic-like markings on the leaves. They grow relatively slow, but can eventually reach a height of around two feet if allowed to grow by repotting regularly. Calathea has a habit of folding up their leaves during the night, a phenomenon called nyctinasty.

In 4" pot. Will ship in the plastic pot that it is currently in.

  • Care Tips:

    Network Calatheas:

These plants are beautiful and will grow with the right amount of love.

*** Mine grew best in a small greenhouse in a South Facing window.

    Sunlight:

They enjoy bright indirect light. If they get direct sunlight, it will burn their leaves and leave brow spots.

    Water:

These plants enjoy being moist. Allow the first two inches of the soil to dry. Then, water.

    Soil:

Calathea Networks enjoy soil that will keep some moisture.

*** I use a mixture of pea moss, potting soil, bark, and charocal

Just love your plant, and it should thrive. Speak to them, notice them, and care for them. If you have any further question, please reach out!
